Make up your mind!

Quote which appeared on an MRI report today:

"The arthritic changes at this level appear to be mild, perhaps mild to moderate. They're in the mild to severe range."

Kind of a CYA statement, eh? (Cover your ass).

Gotta love the indecisive ones. Especially when they are preceeded by a frantic urgent phone call along the lines of "OMGOMGOMG, get this patient to the OR NOW!"

Are you sure the person doing the report doesn't work for the government? "Your budget has been approved for the fiscal year. Your spending limit has been decreased by 15,000 for the project line item that purchases *the most expensive items*."

Purchasing agent bangs head on brick wall for extended periods of time.

Heard the joke about the symbol to represent the radiologist? It's a weasel, standing on a hedge, eating a waffle.

Well, you can't really accuse the radiologist of being wrong, can you.
The hedge, national tree of radiologists everwhere.

To get three interpretations of an image, you could ask 3 radiologists on 1 day, or 1 radiologist on 3 days.

"Or something like that. Who cares, really, when it's almost time for the 2-for-1 margaritas at El Compadre? Who's with me?"

Can't be a government radiologist, 'cause it would have way LESS information, which means, you'd have to get another 2 MRIs to determine what actually happened.

(Bad, bad nurse comment...smacks self)

I'm amazed.... you don't mention the final line in every radiology report, "clinical correlation suggested"

hey, "mild to moderate" IS in the "mild to severe range." Draw a ven diagram if you do not believe me.

and I am certain there is great continuing education in exotic places to enhance radiology's detailed reporting....

CME = A coronal mass ejection (CME) is a massive burst of (solar) wind......

And I have to decide how many pounds this person can lift, how long they can sit, stand, and walk, and therefore whether he is going to get a check from the government for the rest of his life.
