Swinging Lawyers, P.C.

In the mail today was a letter from one of my patient's lawyers.

The letterhead gave me the giggles.

While you quickly realize all the ways this would make perfect sense, the human mind always leaps to the worst.

Grape story Doc, I will preserve it for all time. Be sure to spread it around.

With a name like Smuckers they have to be good.

I was trying to think of names, and there were the 2 jam jars in the office fridge.

A brother and sister shun their family's jams legacy. She marries a down-on-his-luck jelly salesman.
Together they fight crime.

Anonymous, I see you have never heard of same-sex parenting.

My personal favorite was always Butts & Johnson... located in San Francisco.

Well, with a name like that . . .

We have a Boink and Boink private investigators here. Cracks me up every time I see the sign.

Um---Much more worried about getting lawyer's letters in the mail. Especially in a medical office.

Whether they're screwing each other or not just isn't as important as whether they're about to screw you.

The Mother, you've said it. Take note, Dr G!

WV: gliale...hope you glial cells are in tip-top condition...

For some reason, after reading that header, the peanut butter jelly song popped in my head: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8MDNFaGfT4

Hee. That reminds me of something I saw a few years ago. There was this snotty, airtight clique of "popular" kids at my high school who only ever socialized with each other. As adults, they've pretty much not moved on--they're all still in the same town, all still in that hermetically-sealed little clique.

So I get this note about a reunion, and two of the women in that clique are on the reunion committee. And they both have the same last name now. Maybe they married brothers or got into polygamy, but I think chances are very good that they just serially married the same guy--15 years later and they're still passing around boyfriends in that same damned Round Robin.

giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe one of them was her brother and she married the other partner?

I would guess more likely: father, daughter and son-in-law, no?

Fresh outta nursing school and my first job was on a med-surg floor. Of all the myriad practices/groups we had, this one caught my attention on Day 1:

Dr. H. Dick.
Dr. B. Leak.

Together they had a - you got it - Urology practice!

I'm not kidding! Nicest docs. Well mannered. Very professional. All 'round nice guys.

But you couldn't help but chuckle...
